Rotor Question

Just got a pair of Brembo rotors from O'Reilly auto store for my 1998 camry LE 2.2L, but the diameter is bigger than the old rotor. Did I buy a wrong one? Could I still use those?
Thanks a lot

Stan

Well... does it fit?

If the diameter is only slightly larger, but still fits when you put your calipers over it, then go for it. If not, then you don't have much of a choice do you?

There is black iron fender just behind the rotor. The new rotor size is even larger than that one. So I think I have to return those and get right one...

I just got 2 rotors, pads are on the way...

This is realy unexpected, since brembo rotors are strongly recommended here, and the rotor model was double confirmed by the website and local store salesperson...

so what if the rotor is bigger than the dust shield... if the bridge and the caliper bolt up fine and the rotor doesnt hit rim when doing turns and all.... everything should be fine

are all v6 camrys 5 lug????
did any come 4lug???

if you got a I4 and they gave you V6 rotors they would fit at all (no brainer)
im sure I4 has 4 lugs and V6 has 5 lug

but the parts store must have missed label the rotor or something if its bigger than the one you got

No, all Gen3's are 5x114.3 bolt pattern. felony's most likely right. They gave you the V6 rotors.

Um, I know for a FACT all Camry's since 1987 have been 5 lug, and 92+ have ALL had the same 5x114.3. Engine size AND sometimws ABS can make a difference ont he rotor size needed.

You guys are right. They gave me a V6 version. This is O'Reilly system error. After I input my car information, 98 camry LE 2.2L, I got the result, Brembo rotor, Part No. 25358. I checked the Part Number on the Brembo website and found it is for V6.
