hey i have a 93 v6 auto camry and i want to put a oil pressure gauge, water temp gauge, and 12 volt thing on my car real soon. my friend told me that a gauge pod (1978-1993 mustang ) would work is this true? also where would i hook the water temp. and oil pressure at? thanks for the help
^yep, thats the pod I have. For the oil pressure sender, it is easiest to just tee it off of the stock oil pressure switch. You can get the necessary fittings from home depot or a hardware store. The volt gauge only needs to go to power, and the water temp sender will need to be tapped in somewhere- i have one to install but havent yet, so im not positive how that goes. Shoot me a pm if you need more detailed help, I have all of the info zoni sent me on how to do it when I wired my gauges up
Too bad you cant hook it up to the onboard computer, since that pretty much knows what going on with every aspect of the car. I got my ScanGuage which just hooks up to the OBDII port, and it tells me the battery voltage, water temp, intake air temp, % of available engine power being used, ignition timings, etc.

hmmm....how accurate is the water temp that the computer puts out? I don't think that it is very accurate...as well, too bad our cars don't have a/f sensors and has o2 sensors...
but the scangauge is a lot of fun...too bad it looks like ass
