Hey guys I really need your help, Im at school right now and my car wont start anymore, its my starter. Its starting to go bad and sometimes it works and others it dosnt. Its been working for like the past few days and this morning but now it wont. The cars an auto so I cant puch start it . Do any of yall have or know any method I can use to start the car?( hitting it, banging on it, etc) Any advice will be highly appreciated.
Un, how bout simply replacing it???? Should have done it when it 1st started to go bad.
Take a solid object, and gently tap the starter, and try starting it. Will usually work a few times before it completey craps out. And drive right to the shop and buy a new/remanufactured starter.

5 Lug Corolla WHAT?
A-battery, B-battery cables, C-starter solenoid contacts. C= a starter solenoid replacement, or a new starter.

Are you hearing 1 click or multiple clicks?. 1 click usually indicates a bad starter (specifically the starter's solenoid contacts). Multiple rapid clicks indicates a weak battery, corroded battery terminals, or a poor connection at the battery or the starter itself. If it is the 1 click, then tapping the starter with something (small hammer or a wrench) while someone holds the key in the start position, will probably get it started. Give it a good tap, but don't try to break the thing. Then go get yourself a new or rebuilt starter, or take your starter out and have it professionally rebuilt. I have always preferred the last alternative, if you have an auto electrical rebuilder in your area. Check the local phone book.
professional rebuilder...hahahahahaha...thats a waste of perfectly well earned money, alls you do is take out a few bolts, seperate, keep all the parts in order, and replace the two contacts that are worn, reassemble, and done, the haynes tells how in more detail on page 5-17!

Check and see if all the cables going to it are good and tight. Don't know if thats it but its a god starting point.
