hi my friend has some Tenzo R lowering springs that he just got..he wants me to install it in for him and im not familiar with camrys because i am a honda and acura guy. and i wanna help him out.. its a 3rd gen, but i dont know wat year his car is..

what im asking is if i take it apart.. do i have to compress the lowering springs back on the stock stocks? i dont have a compressor..i do things by hands..

ill get some pix up. and can u guys plz leave some diagrams or infomation on how to do so..thanks

Then you better rent a compressor from a shop like autozone. Do you really want the strut mount to fly off and hit you in the face as you're taking it off? Do you also want to put the force of your body against the spring to get the strut mount back on after you switch out the springs? Believe me, I've done both, and the answer is no.

No way in hell your gonna change a spring on a Camry by hand. As the others said, you can rent one, or if you pln to use it once in a while, Napa has a decent one for $70 to but.

yeah, never by hand or ull break one, not with this car. i changed mine with a set from advanced that was like 25 bucks. even that was a risk.
