4th Generation why i love my camry :)

2000 camry le v6 bought new in october 2000 with 150 miles on it.
Completely stock except for narva headlight bulbs.
oh and alpine mp3 player/mb quart seperates upfront/boston acoustic 6x9's out back and jl audio w6 12" sub pushed by a 500 watt phoenix gold amp

Pics of my daily driver

still in great shape on the inside

the wood trim was part of a package the dealer installed. its real wood. i think it looks good inside. goes with the interior color of the car!

hangin out in the garage with my toy

someone at work rubbed their paint off against my bumper. next time i detail i'll buff it out!

oh pics of my toy - 2003 bmw 540i - m-sport. completely stock. last yr of the e39 body style. 290 hp 324 tq!

nice asses

and finally the real reason i love this car

sorry for crappy camera phone picture!!

but just yesterday she turned the clock at 166,666

and she still drives like new like the day i picked her up!

i was a camry owner b4 a bimmer owner

and as much as i love the bmw. and its a great car

nothing beats the reliability of a toyota!

and the low maintenance cost!

if i ever have to replace my Daily driver it will be with another toyota..

maybe the new camry!

oh and with 166k miles on the clock and the v6 i still can get up to 27mpg if i keep it under 80 and drive conservatively on the highway.

but normally i'll get 24mpg!

here's a list of whats been done to it since new...

2 o2 sensors at 90k miles along with plugs
new plugs again at 150k miles.
new timing belt at 165k (lucky i went that long on the original timing belt)
accessory belt at 90k and again at 165k.
coolant flush/brake fluid flush
3 fuel filters

trans fluid once every yr
synthetic oil change once 3-4 months
new tires as needed.
brakes as needed.

the last service is the most i've spent for service on the camry that was 750.....

most of the work i've done myself except for fluids/belts.

Nice car. YOu make me miss my 00 Camry (totaled last December).

How come your license plate starts with 5? Even as late as 2002 sequential plates started with 4.

You're lucky that nothing major has gone wrong, but if you take care of it, it will take care of you. I really like the 5 series too, makes me salivate.

nice rides. the woodgrain trim does indeed complement the camry's interior. and you have about the same mileage i have on my 97 gen3. i like the 5 series bimmers too and nearly got one instead of the camry on the same day (albeit older than yours)... i just didn't have the extra $3k at the time (i think it was a 92 or a 93 model)
