exhaust leak for sure mate. had the same prob on my v6. bad engine mounts caused the flex pipe flange to open up.... sounded real bad...

Yes, exactly, it took me $130 (include tax) to put a new flex pipe on it in a decent shop. The engine is very quiet now, here is the audio I recorded, I hold the recorder about 5" above the battery with the hood open and the car was warm up. Thanks everybody !!

Like everyone has said before it sounds like an exhust leak... replace the flex pipe and that should take care of it... When those flew pipes get old they tend to fall apart after awhile.
