threads for oil pressure sender

Does anyone know of the threads for the oil pressure sender in a 94 4cyl Camry are NPT or metric. My oil pressure test gauge kit came with 1/8, 1/4 and 3/8 adaptors, but no metric.

not sure. try pulling the oil pressure sender out and put it and the test adaptor side to side, you know, like you do with bolts when you want to see if they have the same thread. if you can't get them to line up, then don't use the adaptor.

that way of holding bolts next to each other works fine for normal (non tapered) threads, but I do not think it works well for tapered threads (like NPT).

Find the sensor at the link below, then read off the tread type.
