3rd Generation Ignition Kill

Hey, so I have an ignition kill on my 96 Camry LE that came with the car when my grandparents bought it at an auction. Its really annoying because I only have one remote and I need it to start my car and I went to Circuit City and Bestbuy and they both said a replacement alarm would be cheaper to install than to take it out... The brand is Executive and I was wondering if anyone knows if I can get a remote lets say from eBay and program it myself? Is there a way to disable the ignition kill so I can start my car without hitting the button and actually use my remote? Any help would be great.

-Thx

first of all they lied to u, it costs nothing to take it out if u do it, having a professional uninstall it would be a waste of money. im pretty sure that a universal remote wont work unless u are a wiz with electronics. most of thoes alarms especially ones with a kill switch are programed with a code that is tied to the specific unit u have installed so that no one can get into or start ur car with out ur remote.

I don't want the ignition kill anymore its very irritating... I want it out but for price right now I think I'm going to get it replaced so I have two keys and remote start... I was thinking about messing with the unit itself but I decided not to.

Find the electronic box for this thing on the car and see if there is a phone number or address. Then do a Google search and call, write or email them.

If nothing found and you are replacing the system with another, have the shop doing the work remove the old system. It is not that hard and the shop needs to get to the same wires as where the old unit is installed. Having two systems may make using the system difficult or impossible.

You could pull it yourself, suggest first you download the correct year wiring diagram from the link below. With the diagram you can see what color wires go were. The device installs in-between a few key wires and is hooked up to 12V power.
