Well I just bought a pair of JDM BLUE LED license plate lights for my camry. I'm hoping it fits as I did some research and it confirmed it will fit but you never know what happens. But anyways I didnt do research if these are legal in Toronto,Ontario? I have seen these on brand new lexus cars now a days around the city. So it makes it legal right? or is it only legal to lexus drivers? Anyways.. does anyone know? I really would like to put these on my camry but if its illegal then forget about it.. cuz i dont wanna get pulled over by a cop for having illegal lights
Thanks
EDIT:: since i did do some research about these lights fitting. Might as well ask those that have these installed already on their camry if they fit? These are from eBay seller so I think their all the same.

The lexus Led plate lights are not blue, The are Pure White. Blue would most likely be illegal.

so WHITE is legal in most countries/provinces/states now a days? Well I did seen some blue LED license like maybe 1-2 but maybe their lucky and havent got pulled over yet.. but I really dunno what is illegal in T.O anymore.. cuz I seen like those very very bright blue HID lights on cars in this city and cops dont even pull them over. The cop was right behind one and infront but they did nothing. And I heard they are illegal in T.O. So either cops dont care or maybe the drivers are really lucky? right
well I guess I'll just grab a white pair too then as they arent that expensive...
EDIT:: I didn't want to post another post so...
I really wish blue will be legal though.. look at these!
tooo goooddd

Can I have underbody neon lights if they are shatterproof?
To date none of the manufacturers of neon lamps have certified the color and intensity of their product. If they were to become certified then the color would be limited by the location but white, amber or yellow, and red is the only allowable colors to be displayed while operated on the road in accordance with DMV Regulation 14-137-101.
Can I have neon hubcaps or wheel covers?
Hubcaps and/or wheel covers also fall under the same specification as neon lights. However, only amber or yellow would be allowed on the front wheels and only red would be allowed on the rear wheels to comply with DMV Regulations 14-137-101.
Can I have in addition to my headlights, neon bars that don’t go on with the headlights, but are hooked up separately?
None of the manufacturers of neon lamps have certified the color and intensity of their product. The addition of not more than two auxiliary driving lamps, passing lamps, or fog lamps producing white or amber light is allowed provided that they are mounted at a height in accordance with Connecticut State Law Title 14 Sec. 14-96o. In addition, in accordance with Connecticut State Law Title 14 Sec. 14-96y there may be no more than four lamps exceeding 300 candlepower illuminated at the front at any one time. This means that if the headlamp system has two lamps on each side illuminated at any time then the auxiliary lamps must extinguish automatically. Furthermore, any auxiliary lamps of over 300 candlepower must only illuminate with the tail lamps and may not be independent for use on the road. Any additional lamps of less than 300 candlepower must produce amber or yellow or white light.
Are strobe lamps on my headlights and taillights legal?
Strobe lamps may only be utilized in operation on the road with a DMV issued permit that is issued only for specific reasons identified in Connecticut State Law Title 14 Sec. 14-96p and Sec. 14-96q. Since some parking lots are considered public access this prohibition would also apply. If your vehicle were used indoors at shows, the operation of strobe lamps at that location would not be regulated by the DMV.
Is it legal to have hydraulic shocks to raise and lower the car?
No one has yet presented a hydraulic raising and lowering system on a vehicle that complies with Connecticut DMV Regulations Sec. 14-137-24 and 14-137-25 regarding automotive suspension systems. All hydraulic systems presented either eliminated the shock absorber or were attached to a portion of the vehicle structure that was too weak and both these types of installation would be prohibited.
Are airbag shocks legal to raise and lower the car?
Various types of air suspension systems would be allowed to raise or lower a vehicle as long as the minimum ground clearance of four inches is maintained. The replacement components must also meet or exceed the quality and performance standards established by the vehicle manufacturer. The installation of the replacement components should not effect the safe operating characteristics of the vehicle.
Are glass pack mufflers legal?
Per Sec. 14-80a-1a through 14-80a-10a of the DMV Regulations for "Glass Pack Mufflers" it is based on the loudness of the vehicle measured in accordance with the DMV Regulation. The loudness is affected not only by the mufflers utilized, but also by any engine modifications. There can be two different vehicles with the same exhaust system, however, they may have different engine modifications. One of the vehicles will pass the noise level measurement test and the other vehicle may not.
What are the height requirements my car can be?
The height requirements are contained in DMV Regulations Sec. 14-137-25, which states “Height Adjustment Limitations."
What is a composite vehicle?
A composite motor vehicle is by statute, "Any motor vehicle, composed or assembled from the several parts of other motor vehicles, or the identification and body contours of which are so altered that the vehicle no longer bears the characteristics of any specific make of motor vehicle." Therefore, any vehicle not assembled by a manufacturer licensed as such in the State of Connecticut is classified as a composite motor vehicle.
Before a compostie vehicle can be registered, it must pass a special composite vehicle inspection, which will be done in the Wethersfield DMV only. To schedule an appointment, please contact our Telephone Center.
Can I tint my windows to black?
No. In accordance with Connecticut State Law Title 14 Sec. 14-99g, the side and rear windows may be tinted to the point where at least 35% light transmitted can still be transmitted through the window as darkened, provided that the reflectivity does not exceed 27% reflectivity.

I'm not sure if this is any help or not, but, here are Mississippi's laws regarding such lighting (note #3):
Quote:
SEC. 63-7-23. Color of lighting devices. (1) The color of lighting devices shall be as follows:
(a) All front clearance lamps, and all side marker lamps, except the one on each side at or near the rear of any bus, truck, truck tractor, semitrailer, full trailer or pole trailer, shall when lighted display an amber color.
(b) No red lighting device of any character shall be mounted at any place other than on or near the rear of any bus, truck, truck tractor, semitrailer, full trailer or pole trailer. However, school buses owned by or under contract with a school district of this state may have affixed at or near the front end thereof red lighting devices that may be caused to blink when the school bus is stopped or in the process of stopping for the purpose of loading or unloading school children. A school bus also may be equipped with a white, flashing strobe light on the roof of the vehicle installed according to standards promulgated by the Mississippi Department of Education as authorized under Section 37-41-1(c).
(c) All rear clearance lamps, the side marker lamps on each side at or near the rear, and any other lamps mounted on the rear, on any bus, truck, truck tractor, semitrailer, full trailer or pole trailer shall when lighted display a red color. However, the stoplight or other warning device on the rear of any motor vehicle may be red or amber.
(d) Backing lights of any color may be mounted on the rear of any motor vehicle if the switch controlling such lights be so arranged that they may be turned on only when the vehicle is in reverse gear. Such backing lights when unlighted shall be so colored or otherwise arranged as not to reflect objectionable glare in the eyes of drivers of vehicles approaching from the rear. (2) Auxiliary white lights mounted on or near the rear of a motor vehicle, or visible from the rear of the vehicle, shall not be prohibited under the provisions of this section if (a) the vehicle's gross weight is less than twelve thousand one (12,001) pounds, and (b) the lights are designed by the motor vehicle manufacturer or an after-market parts manufacturer so that they may only be illuminated whenever the vehicle is not in motion and the transmission of the vehicle is not capable of transmitting power to the wheels. (3) No provision of this section shall be so construed as to prohibit the use of any white light or lights for the purpose of illuminating license plates. (4) Any lamps illuminated when the vehicle is in motion, other than those expressly required or permitted by the provisions of this chapter, shall, if visible from the front, display a white or amber light; if visible from either side, display an amber light; and if visible from the rear, display a red light. Yeah, that's not helpful at all, but, it's an interesting read.
god why is there such law for just having different color license plate light. Whats so bad about it.. it gives more visiablity to drivers behind and especially cops if they catch you speeding. Even though I can think of one thing bad and is distraction to other drivers behind you but dont we already have these 8000k-10000k HID blue lights out on the roads which almost blinds the other driver in front... and whats even more weird is cops dont give a crap up here... i just saw a 10k HID blue light subaru wrx sti today while driving home from work and he had his lights turn on and the cop infront of him didnt do anything or when the subaru was in front of the cop. interesting yet confusing
