i thot it was a little low. im driving the ce i4 not the v6. i thot i can get higher. for the current tank. im going to try and not go over 80 and shift b4 3k. and see wat i get
your getting bad mpg. If i drive like an old lady (on my a/t) I can get 33mpg, but knowing that i stick with 70 and occational 80 for overtaking, i'd say i do decent 28-30 mpg's.
Average = 18mpg (50/50 City, Highway 70-90mph)
Best = 28mpg highway (still speeding)
Worst = 16mpg = (Racing highway, 120mph 15 minutes)
3.0 V6, 4 Speed Auto, Lead Foot
wow 120 for 15 mins. but u have the v6 so it'll be different
yea, my first tank i calculated...25, tats with goin to 90 even 100 at a point of time. and over reving to pass some people. the current tank. im keeping it to 80 at most on the highway. and im trying to no pass 3k rpm on shifts. ill see if i can get to the 30's mark.
33mpg average over the past three months. 92 V6 AT,,, Kinda wish I had a MT four. I'd probably hit ~45mpg no sweat. I remember going back from vegas at ~90-110mph when gas was cheap, but after I got tagged going 100 in a 70 zone I slowed way down. Now I'm the slowest car on the road, and no tickets in the past few years.

wow. thinkin 45? tats corolla status not camry. lol. but yea, i have 2 speeding tickets now. both from freeway. i now drive behind cars on the freeway. 33mpg on the v6. not bad.
yea, 25 is badddd. i forgot tat i was on really really bad stop and go traffic for like 1-2 hours. i was going to HotImportNights in san mateo. definitely dont go at 7-9. crazy insane chaos. so im guessing all tat stop and go made my mpg way way down.
I don't see why not. There's a dude living in Colorado that gets ~70mpg in a Ford ZX2. Since it's so hilly, he can coast down with the engine off (no gas), and drive up with lots of throttle (really efficient engine operation). On average a car's usually at ~20% efficiency, but the peak is in the mid thirties, so if you can get the engine operating there (~35%) most of the time, you can see 40-80mpg out of manual trans cars that are rated at ~25-40mpg, at the same average speed the EPA tests are done at. I say manual trans, because most automatics shouldn't coast with the engine off (unless they can be towed 4 down), and that saves a lot of gas, especially in city driving. Like I said before, if you live in the right hilly area, this is easy to do with a manual trans, it's all how you drive. But if it's really flat, you'll probably want to get a custom ultra low 5th gear, so you can cruise at ~1/2 throttle. Either way it's doable, you just have to invest the time/effort/and maybe money.
my mpg are really low im kinda there along with edmo minus the whole 120 for 15 minutes thing lol. i calculated mine out i have a heavy foot also i was getting about 22mpg city.
so some got higher than me and some tat are getting lower. so im the middle.
not bad, i guess. considered i was stop and go for 2 hours trying to get to HIN.
