To know month of manufacture.

Is there a way to get a month of manufacture of an owned car? VIN shows only the year...

Should be a stick at the side of the drive door. Check it.

3rd Generation

I do not understand one thing. My label says explicitly the date of manufacture is 09/95, however VIN on the same label says it is 1996 (10th digit: T=1996). Now I am totally confused. Is anyone who could explain the contradiction?

that's exactly it, especially considering year models are being sold before that year begins, heck I remember seeing 07 camrys for sale last summer, well before 07. The date on the side of the car is the manufacture date but not the date it's sold. Just out of curiousity why are you looking for the month?

I guess I understand it now. 09/95 is the date of manufacture, and VIN says only model year of a car, so it is just a marketing issue. I wanted to know the month because when I have to buy a part for my car sellers ask me what is the month of manufacture. Now I can tell them it is September
