Cooling Issues

Hey everyone, I have a problem but dont know what other options I have. My radiator blew up 3 days ago and I replaced it. Now, when I drive the car for about 10 minutes, the temperature starts to move up to hot. The weird thing is that when I turn the heater to max hot, the temp drops back down to normal. Today, I went and replaced the thermostat and the radiator caps and it still does it. I followed the procedure to bleed the system so I opened the radiator cap with the car on to bleed the air out already and nothing seems to be working(no bleeder nipple). The funny thing is that after I drove the car, I opened the raditor cap slowly(yeah, i know i should do that) and there is ALOT (much much more than normal) of pressure inside the system. What would cause this? Also, anyone have any ideas what else I can do? Thanks for reading.

sounds like you probably do have air in your system

and there is no bleeder nipple- you have to run the car, heat up the coolant, let it cool down, and then open the rad cap and squeeze the hose, then repeat many times

^^that could be all... or it could be worse: could be a BHG and the additional pressure in the system coming from cylinder compression gases seeping into the cooling system. hope i'm wrong though, for your sake. when you take the radiator cap off, can you smell any oil/fuel?

^ very true...but the fact that by turning on the heat will allow the car to cooling system to run within spec usually means that it's not a hg problem...not always...but usually...

but yeah...hopefully not for his saje
