95 Camry Driver's Power Windows Regulator

Hello Guys ( & Gals ) !

Just wanted to pass this info along .

I recently suffered the failure of the motor on the driver's side power window.

After quite a time of searching I was able to get the NEW entire Power Window Reuulator ( Motor Included ) delivered to my Home for the low price of $62.47 ( US) .

Here is the Company info. I ordered from :

Dr. Autoparts .
18552 McArthur Blvd., #440
Irvine, Ca. 92612-1241
Phpne : 800.706.7784
URL : http://www.drautoparts.com/items/ite...itemid=6047189

I know they have other models available and maybe they are worth a look .

First time posting here, I am also working on power windows issues on my '97 Camry.

I was silly enough to order the motor+regulator unit off of ebay, specifically the vendor's name was:

am-autoparts

The price was much less ($35 for the set + $13 shipping, condition=new) than I could find elsewhere so I took the bait, little did I know....

The regulator frame did not fit whatsoever - all the mounting holes were wrong, the angle of the regulator relative the horizontal was also way off. So, I just took the motor off of it and put it on my old regulator - again I had to do some dremeling to actually get it to fit. At this point everything worked, and I assembled the door back together. Well, now the motor won't start - it takes one or two cranks and makes an incessant clicking noise. I'm pretty sure it's not the battery (everything works except when you try to start the car - that's why i didn't notice it earlier) and suspect that the new motor is shorting the circuit when the starter is engaged. Anyways, I'll be doing some more fiddling with it and will report the end of the story later.

Do-it-yourself-window-fixers - beware of the crap that they sell out there claiming it's for the Camry when it's really not even close.

PS. Does anyone know where to get the plastic clips that always break when you take the door panel off and other plastic, easily breakable parts?

^ Try your local auto parts store. Many of them have replacement parts. Might look for red packaging which are labeled "HELP". (Just one brand- there are others)

I got one of them things on eBay--for the passenger side. Installed easily (sans really old bolts that wouldn't come unstuck), fit fine, worked perfectly. Broke exactly one year later and went and spent $350 for the factory replacement at the shop. Looked exactly like what I needed--but very low quality. It was probably from one of those two sites ya'll just listed.

Hey Guys !

I waited until I got the Driver's Side Power Window Regulator installed before I commented on the gloomy gusses here .

I had no trouble with the installation and the regulator works quite well .

I can't speak as to the longevity of the materials , as it hasn't been quite 3/365ths of a year so far . I will report at yearly check points. If for some reason I have shuffled off this mortal coil, I will task my progeny to take up this action providing the vehicle also lasts the time frame . As the Vehicle has only 95.000 miles so far, I don't see much trouble other then outside interference via collisions . On my case I am not so sure . I am 58 Years old and have been "rode hard and put up wet" as we say here in the South . This may be a Hold-Em Poker Race type situation to see which of us lasts the longest . Although I love my Camry , I am betting on the Human !!!!

Here are the actual part #'s for the device WR TC9395-L and also a Hollander Part# 125-58461BL . It says it fits from 92-96 Camry Sedan .

I don't think everyone on E-Bay is out to get you or sell defective or inferior parts . Some of those guys actually "say what they do & do what they say" as my dad used to say about someone he admired .

So far I am batting 1000 . I bought the 2.0 Liter 3SFE JDM motor for my 95 Camry with out any problems and now this Windows Regulator .. Who knows what I may buy from E-bay merchants next ?

THE WORLD IS MY MARINE MOLLUSK !

P.S. It looks like I am having better luck with E-Bay than some of the guys here are having with the BonaFide CAI sellers en Forumas Locas .

(Disclaimer : I am not affiliated with E-Bay nor do I operate an E-bay Merchant's Site !! )

I too have purchased items from Ebay (ie the Dr) I purchased a door handle (inside) good quality and fit.....Headlights?? that didn't work out so well....didn't fit for shit! I guess we take chances when buying parts on line. I try to buy used OEM! BTW Good to see another older member here! LOL. I too have been "rode hard and put up wet", and "I say what I do, and do what I say".. (learned that from Dad)...A man is only as good as his "Word"

There's alot of good dudes here, willing to help ya with your Gen 3 Camry..Welcome to the site!
