Need Tranny Help

Hey guys, I have a 93 camry with the 4 cylinder engine with manual transmission, the old tranny ate a bearing so we bought a used one with lowish miles, we ended up having to switch the transmission cases due to a broken bolt/ easy out.
Are ther different trannys for the 4 cylinder and if soo how can identify them???

the fith gear on the new tranny is different than the old one..... is this gona cause problems/??

Also we got the new one installed but are having problems with it, it wont go into 1st, 2nd, 5ith or reverse and wont stay in 3rd and 4th but sorta goes into .... any ideas as to what the issue is and when i let out the clutch when its in the nutural position it is in gear and the car starts moving!!!

is it posible the gear selector in in wronge or not working right????

thanks for the help

Check the shifter cables and linkage adjustments, this sounds like the issue. The fifth gear ratio will make a differance in the engine RPM. The link below will provide access to service manuals for this car.
