Wiper motor and linkage stuck!!! - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

I am currently trying to replace my soon-to-be-dead wiper motor. Got everything taken out but then wiper motor. Because the motor is stuck on to the linkage. I have taken out the nut behind the linkage that secures the motor to the linkage arm.

Does anyone have any idea or suggestion on how I can free the motor from the linkage arm??

Try some PB blaster or Liquid Wrench on the threads... Make sure to mark everything before you remove it so that your wipers don't go down when they should go up and likewise. Is everything pretty corroded on the motor, linkage, and such?

Nothing is corroded. Just a lot of old grease and dirt on the thread. I tried WD-30 but it didn't do anything, I'll give Liquid Wrench a go at it.

You could try an impact wrench.

nvm... got it off!!
but now the new motor have a nut on the thread that is not coming off!! f!!

nvm, got that nut off too... BUT, the gear is a different size. There are two variations under the same part number. Japanese built vehicle use 12 mm shaft, and American built is 10 mm shaft
This means I have to go the dealership route, which is like 100 bucks more!!!
