Gen 3 struts/shocks v6 vs 4cyl

Ok, Don't know much about suspension.

Question.

Can I take the shocks/struts off my gen3 4cyc manual and swap them onto my gen3 v6?

Both cars are 94' models. Just curious to know if they would fit or not.

They would fit, but your spring rates would be different, the 4 cyl struts/springs will make the v6 lower and maybe have more body roll, oversteer, etc. Maybe it would be a cheap way to lower?

But, i don't figure that a setup like that would be very safe.

from memory, the rear suspension is the same on both, as long as they're both sedans. it's the front that is different as BlueFusion6851 mentioned.

yup, only the fronts should be different...it shouldn't be a problem

the front would be lower though, and the springrates aren't quite correct for hte weight, so it might bottom out here and there

an easy fix for that ive found is to put in some spring boosters/spacers. but its mainly a temporary thing(say 8-10k miles) because it ends up waring the spring unevenly.
