I'm partial to the NGK Iridium IX racing plugs . They're about $13 a pop, but they're nice.

NGK - Here's why

NGK

My 2001 6cyl 4Runner came from the factory with 3 Denso's on one side and 3 NGK's on the other. Other 4Runner owners report the same thing. The theory is Toyota has (had) a parts contract with both manufacturers....
Anyway I changed mine at aprox 40k miles. I saved one of each brand/side. All six looked very healthy with a clean tan burn color etc. but the Denso's show much more wear on the electrode.
My $.02

what an interesting thing for toyota to do.

maybe they had two people working on the cars and one side of the production line was given ngk while the other was given denso and somehow this was a test to see which one was better!

anyways my advice to you, is the same i give to everyone else. pull out what you have and replace with the same! if it's worked before, it'll work again.

I would go with Denso...

My stock plugs were Denso and I put in Denso Iridium Plugs... They're great...

I've read about some Camry's not liking NGK plugs...

i think that this info may be in your owner's manual. The company specified what plug they wanted in the engine and I don't think that Bosch is one of the choices.

Well so long as it meets the heat specs etc. but personally I would go with Denso Iridium's. I put some on my mom's civic after an intake had been on awhile and coupled with the intake it some good pickup for being a 1.7. I'm going to put Denso on mine soon but whatever you do will spark so go ahead and do what you like.

I have had Bosch Platinum +4 plugs in my V6 for about 35,000 miles and I just checked them a few days ago and they are SHOT. They are irregularly burnt. I have heard since putting them in that those plugs are horrible, and that the quad electrode's are no good. Also, Bosch should not be used on Toyota engines like ours.

I bought some NGK Iridium IX plugs this weekend for the V6...can't wait to put them in.
