3rd Generation Urgent Help Needed

aight, today i colored my needles and lets just say its showing im doing 140 mph at 55, how do i fix this? the rpm and mph needles, please urget help needed

i dont understand the question ... are you saying that the needle now points to 140 when youre driving @ 55mph?

if so, did you remove the needle and place it on in the 0 position?

this is what you do... make sure all your connections are hooked up and leave the plastic plateface off... turn the key on but do not start the car... now install the speedo needle at 0 as well as the tach and you should be okay.. when you turn the key off, see if the speedo needle goes down and rest against the needle... other than that that should do it...

^ Lot harder then that. The needles are BELOW "0" when the car is off. I had to recalibrate mine and it was just a tad time consuming.

Supra06, I got your im. Just hit me back when your online next and I;ll explain the process of the recalibration.

Adn thast y i dont want to put on my reverse glow gauges that i bought, im worried that i'll do somthing like this too since in not a mechanic...yet

^ I'm an IM whore. IMO, it;s better to just change the backlight color and needle color. I try to stay away from cutting wires if at all possible. Plus there is too many issues witht he reverse glow guages.

what ASG14 said...I'm going to change the color of bulb and have someone install it for me, they mess up, they fix it....but leasaunce has a diy on painting the needles, it would of helped
