4th Generation Digital climate control to replace standard controls?

G'day guys I have a 99 Gen4 and have the standard heating/cooling controls.

Would it be possible to replace this with the digital climate control unit from a Solara or a higher spec Camry?

Is it just a matter of plug and play?

Thanks.

while i'm not fully sure, i can say that it won't be plug and play.

the electronic ones have different wiring and connections. the regular control for the hvac system is built on the premises of potentiometers and that's why it works when you spin the knobs to adjust temps. it will fit, yes but it won't work without serious wiring.

listen to what this person is saying. I thought of doing it 2yrs ago, but switching them to the digital version would required some work and $$$, im guessing it should set you back around $250+ plus the Climate Control. If you have the spare $$$ to pay someone to do it then go for it let your money do the talking to them

Goodluck!
