3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
well after looking over 99-01 camrys I seriously dislike the grills on the front. It makes the camry more oldish looking like its made for family drivers. While the 97-98 camrys, having no grills makes the camry look more sporty and fit for anyone. If I was the designer for the 99-01 edition camrys I would first leave the current back lights but transfer the 97-98 grill looks into the camry and DAMN it will look hot and also in a side note.. I would definately change their stock alloy rims the rims are so small while their tire are huge. To bad we can't go back in time and change the looks.
Well this is just my way of looking at camrys. Hope I won't get flamed
Also.. since I dont want to start another topic.. I think civic nation dont exsist anymore. It should be Camry nation. Seriously. Everyday I see about 20-30 97-01 edition camrys on the road and their not all the same driver either.

yea but the grill on the 99-01 editions are different color than the 97-99 and for some reason the look looks odd if you stare in front of your car for like 1 min you see what i mean

I very much dislike it, it reminds me of tupperware for some reason. I have a 2001, when I get some time I'm going to come up with something else the grill makes the car look cheap and "small" to me.

Even though I drive a Gen 4.5, I prefer the look of the Gen 4's to mine. They look sportier than my car does, and the two-tone paint really doesn't help much. Either way, I love my car!
