hey guys...some of you may remember my thread talking about the clicking noises and the engine noises
well i got the car back from the shop and all the noises are gone...they replaced the water pump and the cv joints...so i took the car to a friends house and i went to make a sharp turn when i hear a squeaking noise
well im not quite so sure what it is but its pretty loud with the windows down and it only happens when i turn the wheel all the way
any suggestions what this might be ill be takin it back to the shop sometime this week since there closed on the weekends but id just want to know what the problem is and how bad it is for my engine or steering
thanks

did they replace any bushings? that would cause some squeaking if not properly greased up. is a a short squeak or a long one that lasts through out the turn?
its when you turn the wheel the full 1 and half rotations or 2 w/e...its when you turn the wheel allll they way when you cant turn anymore and its a constant squeak until you start turn turn back the other way.....ill have to make a video in the morning incase your not following

Actually it's not unusual to hear a loud squeal if you're all the way into the lock. (As far as you can turn the wheel.) Think it's overloading the pump and the belt slips. Anyway, it is normal with power steering. But I'm sure others can chime in so you don't just take my word for it.

the video comes across too choppy on my screen to see how far you are turning the wheel, but if you are turning it until it hits the lock at the end, it will always make that screeching noise. thats normal. its the power steering straining to turn even more when it cant. while it is normal, its not good to do.

yea but it never made that noise until i got it back from the shop
the only thing i had done to the car at the shop was cv joint replacements and a water pump replacement cause it was cause the timing belt tensioner to flap

if you had the water pump replaced they had to take off the power steering belt to do the jod. More than likly they replaced all belts? it may just need a little more tighting done to it.
