4th Generation shift point

i was wondering. wat people shift at, for normal daily driving? i shift in between 2.5k and 3k

and i was wondering wat is the most efficient gas saving shifting point?
since gas is so high rite now.

i always get wen ppl find out i drive a stick shift. i tell them that they a drive a stick shift too. then they reply, but urs a camry. every so often now a days. i get the surprise look of a camry being manual. hehehehehe.

like ur sig ...as far as i know the lower in the rpm range u shift the better the gas millage. cruising rpms also make a big differance.

i do the same in a v6 93 but i usually just try to base it on the sound of the engine in most vehicles i drive... i think i do pretty well on mpg bout 23 city

Since the 5S has some torque, you can shift al like 2200 RPM's get down to like 1600RPM's and you're good, basically the point is to go lower andlower until you find the ppoint where you can cruise with the pedal depressed very little so you're not bogging down the engine ie, less than 1600RPM but you almost, are the thing is I have an intake so it can cruise at a lower RPM but try and find the point of shifting at the lowest RPM where once you upshift the car doesn't shudder because the RPM's are too low to move the car.
