Tilt Steering wheel

OK... Buying more parts for the Coupe that I bought... I'd like to snatch a tilt steering wheel out of a '92 sedan (mine's a '94)... I need a new steering wheel anyway... So how difficult is it? Can I even install a tils wheel in a car that didn't come with it? I have a Hayne's manual, but it's about as clear as mud; complete waste of $20... Help me out here people!!!

My project is starting to take shape with a new re-designed dash, but a tilt will look sweet in this car...

I'd say the only issue would be the SRS system. I;m sure you can put a tilt wheel in though. You just need the whole setup, not just the wheel itself.

I know that the wheel don't tilt by itself (unless it's broken), I was gonna get the whole column... as far as the SRS, of course my car has it, and so does the donor car, but would the difference in years ('92 & '94) complicate things?

It "MAY". In 1994, the Camry 1st got Dual Airbags, while a 1992 had only a drivers airbag, so between those 2 perticular years, there "MAY" be a wiring difference. I honestly have never heard of anyone doing this, or even talking about it before, and I've been on this site for years now. I think you may be the 1st.

Just out of curiosity, is your coupe a DX model?
