3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I found some headers for the 5S_FE, I want to know if they'll fit a Gen 3 b/c it looks like it doesn't have the bottom O2 sensor housing (for a Gen 4, same engine) Also I want to know if anybody has experience with this brand, I mean if Ripp headers were availably I'd buy those, but...
Might be good to have a pic of the headers you're looking at, and a link to the site you found them on might be nice too. If you're looking at any of the headers on e-bay, I'd say give up cause 99% of the ones on e-bay are trash.
The rippmods headers fit both gen3 and gen4. Chances are, other headers with a few mods the gen4 would fit on the gen3. They'll bolt up to the gen3, but the inlets for the headers aren't going to match up with the outlets from the motor.
OBX headers on eBay for 250$, someone on the forum had them, well I would like I said get the Rippmod ones, but I can't seem to find a place or person who has any for sale. This is kind of a lst resort thing because I want to get headers but I'm still weighing my options.
Thanks for the help, I would expect it to fit, same block etc. but I was talking not about the header, but how my Gen 3 has two O2 sensors on the cat and on this one I only see one O2 sensor holder. When I get the money, I'll buy that, then an Apexi N1, and a UR underdrive pulley. (I want to use my a/c in this Texas heat, but ussually I just sweat so the egine isn't bogged down.

The headers I have are the same way (Bosal Headers) There's only 1 spot for an O2 sensor. When they were installed I just left the post cat o2 sensor off. Then a few weeks ago my check engine light came on, first time in like 7-8 months. Had the code read and it was the post cat o2 sensor not being present that threw the code.
