Rims

What used rims do you guys think would look nice on a gen 3.5? I'm tired of the steelies but don't have enough cash for $1000 rims. Maybe something from an Acura TL or Nissan Maxima/Altima?

wait, u have a grand to spend on rims and u want to get some used factory wheels from another car. personally, if u have that much to spend u can choose from alot, factory or aftermarket, and beand new. personally id go aftermarket but alot of people really like the IS300 wheels. i wouldnt spend extra money on heavy factory wheels and then have to worry about changing the acura or whatever center cap too. just my 2 cents.

he said he didn't have enough to buy $1000 rims.

i think nowadays, you can get a decent set of wheels and tires (USED of course) for about 500-600. If you don't have that much to spend, you shouldn't be looking to buy rims at all.

btw, why would you want to put acura or nissan rims on a toyota? lol

oops missed the didnt part . still anywhere from 500 and u can ge a good set of new or used wheels. id look in the classifides here, people are always sellin wheels and there going for good deals sometimes. if ur lookin for new they have great deals on ebay, given the wheels are cheap and purly asthetic, there a good deal if u dont plan on racing the car.

I guess, I'm not too worried about weight, I only want 17s so they aren't going to be super heavy for any aluminum wheel, but I'm getting new shocks and lowering springs and I've heard that the stock wheels are so heavy that upgrading really lightens up the handling.

I was looking at used stock alloys because a few years ago my Dad bought a set of Sentra SE wheels for his LE for $240 for the set from a wrecking yard, so it was only $60 a rim.

Acura or Nissan? Why not get Lexus like I did so you won't need hubcentric rings. Paid about $500 of lightly used rims with brand new tires.

Those were just guesses, Acura and Nissan usually have some pretty nice looking rims. My grandma's acura has the ones that look like the BBS weaves and they're nice.

I'll check those out, thanks. I was wondering also, what are some good wheel brands that don't cost a fortune? I love 5zigen and BBS, but alot of their wheels cost alot.

well u have the brands on ebay like ADR or DRAG. American racing is really cheap but they dont have a whole lot of options when it comes to tuner wheels. wheelsforless.com has a bunch of brands(american racing and motegi included) and there pretty cheap.
