3rd Generation unused vacuum port (or whatever) question

hi guys take a look at the diagram below:

Now on my throttle body on the 5SFE, hoses marked (2) in the diagram are simply missing and the ports are capped. Can someone explain what they are meant for and whether I be concerned about that. I have noticed it to be like that ever since I had the car with me.

Now my second question and more important one is the next. I am planning on fitting this with an LPG kit next month and along with it would also go for a valve saver kit which facilitates dripping the valve saver fluid into the intake to help prevent valve damage while running on LPG. The kit requires the hose from the fluid reservoir to be connected to a vacuum port between the butterfly valve and the intake unit. So would one of these unused port suit the requirement - do they open in between the butterfly valve and the intake or would I need to drill a hole in the intake plenum? Anyone been there before? Would love to hear your responses soon.

smoky as the diagram says it should go to the vacuum modulator. However it might not be used as the transmission is controlled by throttle instead of engine vacuum. As fas as your second question, it should be easy to determine yourself. just poke a strand of wire through the port and look whether it come out before the butterfly valve. You'll need to remove the air inlet hose for this. you can also turn the throttle pulley by hand to open and close the butterfly and see where the strand of wire pokes out.
