3rd Generation Bootleg SRI

i was wondering if anyone knew the diameter of the air intake tubing on a 95 Camry LE 4cyl ... im thinking that if i take the box out i can replace it with a cone filter if i can find an attachment that will go from the stock tubing to a cone filter head

i dont know if im going to go thru with this, it all depends on how messy the process will be

any specs or words of wisdom would be helpful!

Venom I'd go with the Cosmo intake if I were you. Simply because I don't know where your going to a properly bent piece plastic or metal piping in the diameter you want. That and drilling and fitting the IAT so that it stays in place (but can be removed when neccesary) could be a pain in the ass. That, and I think the Cosmo would look nicer. Its $70 shipped. I ordered mine a couple days ago.

Piping looks like 3 inch to me. Good luck no matter what you do.

3". personally id do ur idea venom, save ur money for somthing that will actually draw some attention, like wheels or tint or just keep saving. i have a truly gehtto intake on my car and it works the same as a $250 AEM intake. doesnt look good, but it works. especially considering ur not going to get any power out of putting on a SIR or CAI, then my advice is to spend as little as u can.

bigbird, would i be able to just detach the stock box, and put this in place:
http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...x?Prod=RC-4650

is there a place to disconnect a short piece of the tubing, or will i have to cut it?

and do i need anything to attach the filter to the tubing, or will the clamp on the filter do the trick?

jsut remove the entire box, or at least the top portion. ull prolly need to get a short piece of 3" outer diameter tubing because the filter there and the stock intake tubing is 3" inner diameter. just make sure that all vacume lines and sensors arestill attached and fully functional.
