4th Generation Window and Light Question

I have a question for all you kats out there;I noticed a decrease in the speed my windows go up and down, also at night when i drive with the lights on and roll up the window(s) I tend to hold the button a sec or two longer after they have closed just to make sure they closed. When I do all the lights dim, now I know they should dim a little, but mine do it a lot, almost to the point where the gauge lights dim to half there brightness.
Now are these problems related to either the battery or the alt? or something else entirely.

Thanks in Advance

p.s
I have since changed my battery a few times but still the factory alt. just FYI

This all sounds normal to me. The power window motor draws a lot of amps. It will therefore dim your lights. The window may be binding a bit in it's channel due to dirt and lack of lubrication. Try spraying some WD-40 in the window channel while the window is in the down position. This will both clean and lubricate the channel, although the lubrication will be short lived. If the WD-40 helps, go to a more permanent lubricant like white lithium grease.
