3rd Generation What do you think of my exhaust?

Had to edit this thread, forum messed up and wouldnt lt me make a new one.

Anyway, this is the exhaust my car came with:

I know the pics arent great but what do you make of it. I know nothing about them so does it look like a decent muffler or some ebay junk?

The exhaust is too noisy for my liking, you press the accelerator gently and it fills the cabin with a headache inducing rumble which kills off the stereo.

Would it be easy for a garage to take out this muffler and fit a standard one or because its an aftermarket one will it be harder to change?

Thanks

3rd Generation

I'd have to look at when the generations of the Maximas and Malibus (yeah, a GM product) came out, because looking at my camry, which the design is now 15 years old, I'm thinking that at least those two cars have very similar designs but came out a few years after, the maxima expecially. I have a friend who drives a 99 Malibu and parked next to my 95 camry, I can see some similarities in the design, intentional or not. Personally, I like the gen 3 and 4 cars much better than the gen 5, while I would drop most everything I have for a gen 6 now . I know as for the interior, the design of the gen 3 has held up very well over the years, it looks much more organized and put-together than quite a few other cars of those years and even newer.

wow, my above post seems waaaay off-topic since you changed the thread, lol.

Yeah, I'd agree with bigbird in thinking that you might have an exhaust leak elsewhere in your system.

Hmmm, what i mean when i say its loud is it cruises fine with a slight rumble but you accelerate and its really noisy. I dont think its a leak because ive had an old car with that fault and its a different kind of sound.

Do garages cut the pipe behind the big box and weld a new one on?
