4th Generation Gauge cluster

I searched and couldnt find anything exactly. I know (well, I can find) what types of bulbs I need, but I want to do a conversion and change the center console and gauge cluster lights over to blue. How many bulbs, where, how... or simply, are there any tutorials or helpful people? Im really looking into doing this, and cant find much information, and this seems to be my best bet.

the gauge cluster uses size 194 bulbs. if you decide to use LED on all 5 bulbs, you are going to need a resistor... for the center panel, they use size 74 bulbs.

When talking about the center counsel, are you saying the A/C unit? Because they take two 74 size bulbs. I did mine the hard way, bought two 194 LEDS, had to grind them enough to fit the socket, didn't use any resistors though.

To get to these bulbs

first pull out the thre knobs on the A/C unit and the small handle thing (that allows you to have the vents open or closed)

second remove the two screws on the A/C unit behind the knobs

then remove the radio brezel (spell check)

next step is to remove the four screws that hold the unit to the brace, after doing this all you have to do is remove the cover of the A/C unit and replace the bulbs and then but everything back. But before you do, make sure the LEDS/BULBS are working. All done, but about the guages, your going to have to search for it, they are many DIY out on TN look for them.

1. Buy FIVE 194 bulbs (they come in a 2 pack) try to get the Long life ones (194LL)

2. Use this link to help
http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4291310149.

3. Image 5 will show you the back Five twist off caps.

4. Unplug the old 194s.

5. Take the GREEN 194 bulb covers off and place them on the New 194LLs

6. Plug them back in. If you don't put the GREEN covers back on your Dash will look PINK.

7. Really easy. 6 screws total to unscrew. 20-30 minute job.

* tip do it when it is like 60-70 degrees out so the first black dash bezel is more pliable...and it will pop out easier.

5 or 6 194 leds for the gauges, 2 wide angle 74's for the hvac, 1 5 led 194 for the shifter light in the center console area, 1 74 for the ash try, and if you do the trunk is a 194 but id get like an 6 or 9 led for that
