3rd Generation Tranny Problem

Hi,

I have a 1993 Camry V6 with a Automatic Tranny, It will not shift into 2nd until the fluid is warmed up. There's nothing wrong with my fluid since it was replaced recently.

Could it be a faulty Torque Converter/sensor?

Thanks,

it may be a fualty valve body or spring, the tq converter prolly isnt the culprit.

have you checked the fluid level to make sure it was filled with the proper amount. reason being the fluid rises when hot and may rise enough to shift the gears, but not when its cold.

Is this car new to you? I notice you're in Canada where it's still cold.
It's normal for your pre'94 transmission not to shift until the coolant temp reaches 35 degrees C.
If this is not the case and the trans was power flushed, then you may have a some residual crud causing a sticking solenoid, etc..

No, I've had it for 7 years. Never had a problem with the Tranny before. The problem started only a few months ago. I'm gonna add more fluid and see what happens.
