Australia In tanks fuel filter

I have the late model 2000 Camry and the maintenance schedule tells me it's time to change the in tank fuel filter. Where do I access it? Any tips greatly appreciated.
Thanks

If it's a 2000 model, the pump, and probably the filter too, will be right under the back seat cushion. Just pull the cushion up to remove it.

The only fuel filter that I've ever changed is the one under the air intake box though.

Thanks for the reply. I have spoken with a mechanic who said the more you run your fuel tank low then the more reason to change the in tank fuel filter.

ive NEVER changed that filter on any car- even when i had my 23-year-old suburban. did you have debris fall into your tank?

its strange your mechanic told you to change it especially if you run your tank low more often - this is the first time i heard this. the fuel is pulled from the bottom of the tank so it shouldnt matter what the fuel level is. are you sure you it wasnt the fuel filter that should be changed?

NO NEED TO CHANGE THE SOCK OR STRAINER IN TANK FILTERS UNLESS YOU HAVE FUEL PUMP ISSUES!

There's no scheduled time interval for the inline filter either. It's not a bad idea to change it every 2 years or 30,000 miles, especially if you use fuel system cleaners.

Thanks one and all. I will take the advise and leave the in tank filter alone.
