3rd Generation Gen 3 Keyhole problem

Hello, my Gen 3 camry's keyhole on both driver and passenger side is kind of sticky.
I can turn it to unlock on both sides but I can't turn it to lock. It just won't budge. Any suggestions?

spray some hardcore lubricant in the keyhole? Spray that area that clicks at the locking mechanism.

IE lubricate everyting. After things are loose, I would go back and add grease.

No, do not spray any kind of liquid lubricant inside a lock. It will make dirt stick to it and it can harden.

For keyholes and locks, you use graphite or graphite lubricant. Try taking a wood pencil and draw all over you key. Stick it in and work it around.

Napa sells this graphite lubricant called Lock-ease in a pressurized can. The liquid that comes out is a carrier for the graphite.

Also, if you think your key is getting worn, you can bring your Registration to your local Toyota dealer, and fro around $8, they will make you a new key from your VIN.

don't mean to threadjack but i have the same problem. oddly enough, the driver door is sticky while the passenger door just doesn't turn either way... weird.

could it still be a worn key or a bad lock?
