manual trans hard to shift in gears

i notice when im driving the shifting is getting harder. and when im in the car at home with the engine off i put the shifter through the gears i notice the same thing. had the clutch checked its still good . i cant figure it. any pointers on this subject

you can try to get the transmission checked. Maybe the gears are worn out?

Lift the centre consol & lever boot. Lube the ball & rod joints with silicone grease . This helped me although I have always had trouble catching reverse. I also went to synthethic gear oil for improved performance in the cold-40! This also helped

would the adjusting shim lever have anything to do with it?

shim lever??? like Davee said, a lot of times the shift linkage at shifter starts to stick. remove it and take apart what you can and lube each joint.

I agree, it has to be oiled once in awhile....

Have you ever changed the manual transmission fluid?

yes i have i changed it twice this yr

and all the

fluids as well oil, brakeoil, steeringoil, antfreeze, clutch

as long as its working ok now, dont bother with teh fluid, as you know that it isnt your problem.
