Kick down cable tension?

Just out of curiousity, how taught should the kick down cable be, mine is pretty damn loose???...i have a 93 v-6

the car may not down shift correctly. here, toysrme has this write up that will tell ya how and where to adjust the kickdown cable.

Yes it will. It'll hold the gear longer and you'll definetly notice it at 45mph and 65 mph, when your car lags before switching gears and then bolts forward.
