3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I sold my 1994 Camry XLE V6 to my parents for $2500, which they are giving to my sister since shes turning 16 soon. So im now a proud owner of a 2007 Camry LE V6
wow congrats man, great color. now i want one any differances in the engine or trans between the SE and LE?
Nope, same engine and trans. The only difference is the SE has a different grill, standard fogs, slight body kit, and comes with factory rims. There may be a few other options but I cant remember.
I really like the color to, I was looking at a blue I4 5-spd, but it was just too slow, especially since I was coming from a V6 Gen3. As I said before, this car is fricken fast, lol. I also love manually shifting :P
The V6 is fast... its double the HP of Gen 3 4 cyl. The new I4 aren't slouches either, they can keep up with gen 3 V6's.
Ya it is, 3.5L FTW!
I wouldnt quite say that though, the Gen3 V6's were around 188HP, while the Gen6 I4's are around 158HP. They are powerful enough for people who only need to drive around town, but I'd say my '94 V6 had a bit more power, and it was also a few hundred pounds lighter.
And thanks again, I cant wait until I drive the car again tomorrow to work
Ya, it was a pretty big upgrade, but well worth it!
The first of my mods on my list are rims. Since I can get 2 new sets of tires alligned for free from the dealer, im looking for some stock XLE or SE rims, so I can swap those out.
I also plan on adding a true HID kit, custom grille, stock fogs, and a few other things.
Car looks pretty sweet man congrats to you! I'm not really a fan of the interior. Still very nice though.
