Unhappy just got the code check...p0773 what to do???

hey.

my engine light just came up. i was wondering if anyone know how to check it.

its a 95 v6 camry.


i read that u can use a pin or wire and jump it on the diagnostic plug.

but i dont know whick 2 to jump. does anyone know?


do i have to do any other steps prior to jumping it or do it while the car is off then start the car then count the flashes?

no such luck.....

but if he has a personal mechanic, he can usually get it read for free....but otherwise they'll charge.

best way is to pick up an ebay cheapo one- it does the job

Around here any local Auto Zone or Advance Auto Parts will scan any OBDII-compliant car for free.

just reset the code

it's a code that comes up for some people. it can be caused by something as simple as not fulling popping the shifter into the correct gear, or the tranny misshifting by accident.

if the code comes back, then dig deeper. chances are that it won't come back.

the code just went away after like 150km of driving. so im good to go?

aint it bad when the tranny misshifts?


anything i can do to prevent this or anything i can tune?

^ No, it;s just a fluke. Like a misfire. It;s bound to happen every once in a while for some reason. If the CEL was not reset, unhook your (-) battery cable for 1 minute, and it will be reset. Having the CEL off, does not mean the code is gone. It has to be cleared, unless they did that when they checked it. Don;t worry about it, UNLESS, as Eye8 said, it comes back.
