the 95 should be rated at 188hp since it is the first gen of 1mz's. 96 and up became something around 196hp and then a bit later it became 200hp. The torque remained about the same for all of them though. So long story short, they're all about the same speed really.
and you'll have to get an obdII scanner to read your codes. all the 1mz's starting from 94 were obdII compliant

Yuo can't jump yours, it must be read by an OBD-II scanner. or scanner / logger. The anceillary systems were OBD-I leftovers, which is why you still have the related OBD-I equipment & diangostics on your 100% OBD-II drivetrain.

it says the 1MZ-FE has been improved, showing the 1MZ-FE was previously 188HP, with this change boosted HP, as I recall Eye8Pussies said this happened in 96. Not to mention the Dyno was done with 96 grade fuel. In reality unless your running 91 grade or higher you won't have those numbers. Lets face it, on a 12 year old car, that has likely been using 87 grade most of it's life, you don't have 188HP in a 95 let alone 200HP. You won't get near that to the wheels, that is unless you have a new or fully rebuilt engine, trans., drivetrain. and even suspension. Now 188HP is respectable, I only point all this out because those numbers will not be accurate unless your both keeping excellent care of your car and running high grade fuels, both of which I recomend highly.
I swear Toys is like one of the only people left here that know what he is talking about.
playmate, yes, that IS in fact the OBD2 port. The black trapozoid.
geoff, read the chart, it says 188, then the later years were 200hp.
Richard, the test was done 91, not 96 octane rating. And the car will not drop an extreme amount with age, unless abused. My car almost always gets 87. That does not degrade the engine faster. My car gets the the crap beat out of it running 87 and almost at 100k miles, and does not seem to have any power loose.

1994-1996 Camry = 188bhp, 1997 = 192bhp in the Camry, 1995 Avalon = 192bhp, 1997 Avalon = 200bhp

look carefully, says 91 or higher, look 1 inch lower and you'll see where it states 96 octane was used for above specifications. Now if you choose to state virtually no one knows what they're talking about, you may as well group yourself into that catagory, reading is FUNdemental!
If I remember right its a different reading as 96 octane rating is not the same as 96 we see on the gas stations for us or something like that, please can someone answer this.
