i want to get a K&N cone intake filter for my car, but they dont make one, i have seen some people with them, is it a kit you buy to retro fit to my 2000 camry or what?
Well its up to you what you do. You can either just buy a cone filter and attach it to your MAF, or you can buy a short ram intake on ebay and just replace your stock intake system.
Weapon r is made for the car, it's nice and like it compared to other short ram intakes and sounds different than the cheap ebay ones (better sound) but it's only heard above 4k rpms. It did change the way the exhaust sounds on wot and for the better.
So just look up weapon r and look for your car and try to not buy in ebay if you can considering that online stores are about the same cost.
I'm talking about the secret weapon system (expensive one) not the dragon intake which is cheaper and don't know about that one.
But for power wise, in general probably no difference to be noticed but throttle response is better and a good chance to clean the throttlebody and IAC while putting on the intake. You will noticed more of a difference if your stock filter is already dirty then the improvement comes from a clean filter.
Anyways the sound is hot.
