My friend is selling some rims and i was kind of interested. So i wanted to know from you guys if they would fit or not. They do need new tires, so i believe i can put on narrower 215 instead of 225.

Hard to answer without knowing what he's asking for them. I would stick with a 225 on a 7.5 rim, you know I love the Yoko Avid H4s myself, don't know if they make it in that size. I'd also lose the Tein stickers. Kinda of a low end rim so the more sidewall you have the better to protect them.
The Stickers are the only way i can tell my car apart from the billions of other same colored and trimmed camrys in parking lots. hahah And 225 is just width. Theres still plenty of sidewall (45). And i personally run the H4's but the more i drive with them, the harder the compound becomes and now its not so grippy.
thanks guys.
I messed up on the chopping, but its my first attempt. Sizes/scales are off, i just eyeballed it and apparantly my eyes are off...haha
the price is $150. I'm just thinking why not? Unless someone can find me 4 IS300 rims for 200 bucks w/out tires...
For 150 clams, that's cheap. I just purchased 2nd hand rims for 200 bucks plus the cost of new tires at Sam's club. The tires aren't cheap but you get what you pay for. They're Goodyear Eagle ResponsEdge at 215-50-17. The good thing about the purchase is you can use it for 30 days, if you're not satisfied, you can change it for another Goodyear tire. They (G.Y.) also cover the mounting fee. So far, I'm satisfied with the tires and hoping to get at least 50k miles out of those. Good luck on the purchase.

yeah 150 isnt bad at all. the tires are actually pretty bald, so i'd need to get new ones.
depending on sizes, i may stick with 225 or go down to 215, but prices are pretty similar.
Im probably going with some Kumho Ecsta ASX tires.
You may need spacers for the rear and if the rims came off something other than a Toyota, you might need hub rings.
I had 17x7 +40mm wheels with 215/50-17 tires on my 00 Camry. The rear tire was at most 1cm from the strut and I suspected that it rubs the strut sometimes because there were some clean or shiny spots on the struts while everything was dirty.
Yeah man, i'm paranoid about it, but for the price i could always sell em to someone else, or put them on another/future car.
Just curious as to why you had 215/50 instead of 215/45? wasnt your speedo off by a bit?
i originally wanted your rims...but NOOO the insurance company just wouldnt let you take em off...
