Scrape the orange paint off the needles, and put on red paint. Hobby shop is goot for it.

mk. But how did you get your needles to go back to normal after you took them off?

BEFORE you take the needs off, make markings of them. for the Temp, you know where that ALWAYS is when at temp.

Best way. Get the car up to operating temp. With the clear plastic lens off. Make a SMALL pencil mark of the Temp, Fuel, and Tach (With car running for that one). The Tach and Speedo are spring loaded, so can only be put on with car on (Tach), or moving (Speedo).

what I did not my Speedo, was keep the car in 1st, and do a constant 3k RPM's, and mark off the MPH. So when I went to tinstall the needle, I drove it at the per-determined 3k RPM's steady, and ploped the Speedo needle on at that matching MPH.

taking the needles off sounds like a bitch and such a hassle, id rather leave mine alone =)
