I have a 1995 Toy Cam 2.2 V4 LE 4dr.....my problem is that everyonce in a while when i first start my car (even when its warm out) with a cold engine, my rpm's are really low and it feels like it wants to stall...when i hit the gas it is fine, no hesitation etc. then I will shut it off and re start it and it'll do it again and then all the sudden it just goes back to normal (I can hear the air intake start to suck in air like it is supposed to....(you know when you first start your car and you can hear the intake sucking in air....long story short, what would be causing it. any suggestions.....thanks in advance
I have....i use the seafoam trick every 5K or so....it only happens everyonce and a while...say maybe once every month....hell maybe my car is a woman...once a month every month she likes to "act up"...lol
It's probably just the IAC not kicking on for some reason. Mine used to be like that but I cleaned it all out and it is fine now, but every once in a long while I will start it and it will just die on me if I don't hold the throttle for a second, then the IAC will come on. I'm okay with that, new iacs are $$$
I don't understand why so many people swear by Seafoam b/c I did it and feel like it f-upped my car. The throttle doesn't feel the same. I did it through the master cylinder vacuum line, I plan to tqake off my Intake manifoldand thooroughly clean it.
