3rd Generation gen 3 ac problem

the ac in my i4 isnt working that great, i think it might be the free-on and i also think theres a leak, the mechanic couldnt find the leak, but had the free-on refilled last summer and right now its just blowing air, anyone have suggestions on what to do?

Purchase $15 low-side refrigerant gauge/filler from auto parts store.

Read the low-side static pressure and running pressure. Static pressure should be 80-100, low side running should be about 35. If pressures are lower than that, fill the system according to the directions on the can.

See if this system has a sight glass at the dryer. You can then run the system and see if there is fluid in the system. Did the dealer use a sniffer?

If the system was empty after just one year, they should have put some AC dye in it along with the recharge. It is flat out the best way to find leaks. Those leak detecting sniffers are worthless in my opinion.

its not freon though, right? I was under the impression that 1995 Camrys had the new refrigerant, whatever its called. I'm going to go to Walmart and get a couple of cans because my system is blowing hot air too
