3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
how much are those lights going to be, and how should i find ones that will fit my 1996 Carmy???
A 1996 Camry is a Gen3 Camry, which is alot different then the 1997-2001 Camry's. You cant "easily" replace a 1996 stock headlight unit with one from a 1997 or newer.
hey, thanks for the info.. when i searched ebay i couldnt find any for my camry, its all lexus, camaro, and like gmc..if i go to like a car pasrts website will those be ccfl?
i assumed they were the piece over the headlights that project the light towards the road to prevent it getting in ppl's eyes, but i dont know for sure ... so i figured i might as well ask
i really dont understand the whole HID scene ... i just know its a lil too bright for my needs

Projectors and halos are completely different, cars with projectors have a glass lens, which im sure you've seen before. They have something installed inside to create a cut-off beam, so it shines mostly on the road, and not up in the sky.
Alot of new luxury cars come equipped with HID's, while alot of cars use halogen projectors, which arent any brighter. HID's are amazing, and I cant wait to get them installed in my car.
back on topic, ha. I really would like to know a good quailty site in order to pruchase halos, nothing cheap. if ebay is the way to go id like to know if anyone has boughten some off of threr, and were they happy with the halos?
