4th Generation Lifted Camry

I was just wondering because it seems like everyone and their mother have lowered camrys, but I have yet to see a lifted one. I was just thinking of how sweet it would be to lift my '98 camry and then make it 4WD: 4WD Camry? but I don't know if that'll ever happen (probably not.) Anyway, just wondering if anyone has seen any lifted camrys or know any manufacturers that carry Camry lift kits. Thanks!

i know it can be done custom ... i have never seen any lift kits

however, when it comes to suspension ... a custom job is not that much work compared to dealing with custom work for engines, so thats good news for ya

however, a lifted camry would probably be really ugly - and you might have some issues with weight/balance

I like the ugly part. I don't really care TOO much on how it looks. I just want to have some off-road fun. I guess custom work wouldn't be too hard, I could probably do most of it in my auto class. What I'm worried about is how much a custom job will be, just for parts. As for labor, well, I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty .

u want an off-road Toyota? dont spend the $3000 on custom 6" lift + protection for all the crap hanging down off your Camry [since its not meant for clearance]

go get an FJ60/FJ62 [late 80's, early 90's] Toyota Land Cruiser for like $4500

theyre nothing special these days, so you can get them for cheap ... most people throw them away because they think that theyre junk, but theyre incredible for off-roading and easy to mod/play with

the simple fact is that the camry would make a horrible off road vehicle. not to mention cost u a good 8 grand to do it.

^ x2

FWD off-roading with Independent Front/Rear Suspension is not good for going off the road at all

The camry is a unibody car, it wouldn't be able to handle the stress of off roading like a truck would
