4th Generation "New" used 1998 Camry LE V6 Auto

Just got a used Camry LE V6 Auto with 100,950 miles on the odometer. I was wondering if there were any things I should look out for with this engine or tranny. Seems to run just fine, no smoke, no blow-by and good acceleration. I know this is a very "open ended question" but I have to start somewhere

being a toyota ... the Engine & Tranny should be fine unless the previous owner was reckless

its the little things that die post-100K, or post-150K, etc.

since its a Gen 4, its pretty much still a baby ... shouldnt give you too many problems if it was well maintained

Good to hear. I guess I just need to check if the friend I got it from replaced the timing belt at 80K or so. He purchased it used and had no problems with it for two years. I got it from him for an ex-girlfriend that was having car problems...paid $5,000.00...not too bad I think.

Has the sunroof, XLE wheels, disc player and leather interior.

Not a bad price at all.

Things to do/check as regular maintmence:
Timing Belt/Water Pump/Seals
Coolant Change/Flush
Tranny Fluid drain and fill
Check suspension bushings
Check DogBone engine mount (Top of engine, passenger side, connected to strut tower)
Check Valve Cover gaskets for leaking. Usually last around 50-80k miles.
