Unhappy Constant misfire

I have a problem with my camry It's a 96 with the 5sfe 2.2 I've had this problem for awhile now but it's getting more noticible over time. Ok well the check engine light has been coming on after clearing it and everytime it' been P0302 #2 cylinder misfire i've replaced everything under the hood well new cap and rotor, temp sensor, ign wires knock sensor, all are borg warner parts. Ac delco platinum plugs and all that good stuff. Well it still misses sometimes but sometimes it runs just fine. Had some exhaust work done everything is still intact but the muffler (magnaflow) and you can hear it misfire in drive or idle. I just wanna know what you guys think i've done the search thing but most have a diff problem mine is just a problem on Cyl 2

You might have a leaking valve cover gasket and tube seals allowing oil to foul the plug(s).

Could be one of many issues. Download the Gen_4 Diagnostics section, find the trouble code and follow the troubleshooting diagrams.

Is this car breakerless ignition or distributorless ignition?

A bad fuel injector could cause the misfire. The easiest way to check is to switch that #2 fuel injector with an injector from another cylinder. If the misfire code now moves to the other cylinder, you have found the problem. You may have to have new o-rings on hand for this test but they are cheap.

I was thinking of bad compression on #2 because now that i remember it while i was rebuilding the motor #2 was the worst of the 4. Now i have to find someone who can do a compression check or buy a tool. Or just maybe it's the bad injector im gonna go ahead and go buy some o-rings and give that a shot 1st
