Wheel Hub Removal Help!!! - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

Whats up everyone,

Its been a while since ive been on. The Kport front and rear BBK install is coming along slowly. Heres the problem . Since I need to install and run longer lug studs because of the 5mm H&R spacer im using so that the caliper will have enough clearence from the rim, I have to remove the Wheel Hub to be able to put on the new studs. What would be my next step after removing the nut and cotton pin. I've read I would possible have to push back the axle? Need some help/opinions on this one everyone!!!!

You should be able to press out the lug bolts with the hubs on the car. If the longer bolts will have enough clearance to install, can't say.

Pushing back the axle will not do any good. Rear hub should just unbolt. Front hub is pressed into the bearing which is pressed into the knuckle. You will need to remove the knuckle and press the hub to move it.

Thanks for the info, how hard do you think this is to do? Ive read I might need some special tools.
