3rd Generation replacing fender

hey guys, i picked up a fender to replace my dented one. now, my questions is:

is it recommended to use jack stands or will the one used to change tires suffice?

the thing is, i dont have a pair of jack stands, nor do i plan to use them in the future, so im not trying to buy a pair simply for this one job.

any advice would be appreciated, so thanks in advance.

If you are getting under your car in any way...longer than 5 seconds...you'll need jack stands PERIOD!...think off your safety always.

Hell...return them the next day if you must. We don't want to watch reels of the ten o'clock news of you on u-tube.

edit: why would you need to jack her up for fenders??

you don't need to use kacj stands to get the fender off.

well first check to see what part of the fender is rubbing on the door. This happened to me when i put on my new fender because there was a small bend. Also check to make sure that all the bolts are in place and tight.

its pretty simple, i had the same problem when i replaced my fender, get a friend to help you when you puttin your fender on and we used a screwdriver (i think we coverd it so it wouldnt scratch the paint) and just used that the space the fender from the door, and then tighted the bolts down good.

the middle of the door hits the fender as the door opens. the fender prevents the door from opening all the way as teh door acts as a tab trying to push the fender in. im pretty sure all the bolts are lined up and in place.

edit: do you have to take the bumper off before you can do the fender? because the fender is attached to the bumper, and its kinda hard to get in there, so im thinking either an rod or something, i dunno.
