Valve seals job-how much?

A friend of mine has this car a '98 camry 2.2 with about 110k on it. It uses alot of oil and I was just wondering how much it would cost if she brought it to get new valve seals not at the dealer but at an INDY. Its in the Los Angeles area.

My '95 camry has 300,000 km and I did the valve cover gasket (leaking oil as well) and it cost me about $400 canadian for all parts / labour / taxes.

Hope that helps.

thats kind of a hard Q, it depend on what the shop charges an hr (the one i work at is 60.00 an hr and thats what i will use to fig with)and what the shop dose for parts mark up. Alldata (i love it) put the plat rate for that job @ 10.8 hrs (im rounding to 11 witch most shops will do) and that 10.8 isent ever going to happen unless the persion has done a lot of them so i would fig. 660 in labor being the lowest that you would pay so a re-cap: 660.00 in just labor + parts so put me down for around 900-1000
